Thirty years ago Maxine walked into a small Pilates studio in NYC and immediately fell in love! From that day forward she continued her practice throughout three countries and undertook Teacher Training in 2013 here in Dubai. As a Reformer specialist she studied and earned certification to the highest degree for the Reformer, Tower and Cadillac. Maxine’s classes have a classical foundation with modern variations along the way. Her aim is to expand her clients’ knowledge of Pilates and Anatomy, and to help them expand their practice and push their boundaries in a challenging yet safe manner. As an enthusiastic tennis player, downhill skier, equestrienne, and sailor; Maxine appreciates firsthand the solid base which Pilates provides upon which to confidently pursue other sports. Born in London and immigrating to Canada with her family, Maxine also lived briefly in Paris but has called Dubai home for the last 20 years. The absolute passion for Pilates continues to this day, as does the ongoing learning.

From her early years, Tania was immersed in the world of movement, growing up as a dancer and rhythmic gymnast. In 2008, she discovered her enduring passion for Pilates and pursued certifications in Mat and Reformer Pilates, including specialized training in pre- and post-natal Pilates through Breathe Education in Australia. In 2019, she underwent hip replacement surgery, and woke up to find her left leg paralyzed. Over the course of a year filled with unwavering determination and a commitment to her own rehabilitation, she re-learned to walk. Her experience deepened her belief in the transformative power of Pilates, not only as a fitness regimen but as a path to rehabilitation and healing. Today, Tania stands tall as a Pilates instructor and road cyclist, racing proudly for a local UAE team.
